Minnesota Missile Monday: Car Show & Upcoming Practices
The Minnesota Missile, KC Sparks, participated in the 5th annual Race Party and Car Show at the Red Rock Bar and Grill in Rowena, SD on Saturday. After some overnight showers threatened the party, a beautiful day welcomed hundreds of race fans and several race cars and track promoters. KC is getting excited for the race season and says, “I want to see my race friends.” KC met one of the newest drivers in the Cadet class who will be competing against him at Plessis Motor Speedway. When asked what he thought about having new drivers at the track, KC replied, “I like meeting new friends. I am going to be a leader and want everyone to have fun.”
The weather forecasters are not race fans in April as a severe weather system with blizzard conditions are forecast for home in Minnesota for the end of the week, the team is holding out hope that everything stays north and they can escape to get to practices at English Creek and Newton over the upcoming weekend. When told about the possibility of not going to the track this weekend, KC commented with a brave face, “I won’t be mad.” He also added that if school would happen to be cancelled on Friday, we could head south early though.
