Jamestown Speedway
3rd Annual Don Gumke Racers' Memorial - Race Results & Recap
This past Saturday was a very special night at the Jamestown Speedway as the 3rd Annual Don Gumke Racers' Memorial took place. The top drivers from around the region were here to compete in the IMCA Modifieds, Wissota Street Stocks as part of the Steffes Tour, Wissota Midwest Modifieds as part of the RHRSwag.com REBEL MW Mod Tour, and INEX Legends. The weather was perfect and the racing action was very good. The track was outstanding. It was fast, tacky with multiple grooves for racing, and smooth throughout the night. Great job to the Jamestown Speedway track prep crew. It was an awesome night with a bunch of 3 to 4 wide racing.
We want to thank all of the drivers, fans, and track workers that came out to celebrate the life of Don Gumke, Denny Qual, Mike Guthmiller, and Jake Deacon on Saturday night. From all of us at the Jamestown Speedway, we hope everyone enjoyed the event and had a great time as we honored these great drivers and individuals. Additionally, we have to thank all of our sponsors and supporters of the 3rd Annual Don Gumke Racers' Memorial. A huge thanks goes out to Don Wilhelm Inc. & your Heartland Chevy Dealers, I-29 Trailer Sales, Dakota Engine Builders, the Gumke & Dieterle families, the Steffes Group, Inc, RHRSwag.com, and Shocker Hitch.

Once again, thank you to all of the drivers, fans, track personnel, and sponsors that came out to the show on Saturday night. We really appreciate everyone's support at the Jamestown Speedway and we have to thank everyone for coming out for the 3rd Annual Don Gumke Racers' Memorial. We also have to thank the crew from Dacotah Speedway TV for broadcasting the races on Saturday night for fans that could not make it to the Speedway. It was so great to have so many people in the stands supporting the event on Saturday night and especially, the families of the fallen track volunteers for coming out to the Speedway. We hope all of the drivers had a great time and hope to see everyone back throughout the season.
Please join us next week for some more high-flying, action-packed racing on Jamestown's 1/4 mile high-bank oval. Next week Saturday, June 18th, the Jamestown Speedway will be back in action with more great racing action. The Wissota Street Stocks and Wissota Midwest Modifieds will be off as the Tours are in Devils Lake that night. The gates open at 5:30 pm and racing action begins at 7:00 pm. Hope to see everyone next week Saturday!
