After topping his time trial group, Scott outdueled Dennis Erb Jr. in his heat race to pick up the eight-lap victory. Starting the $22,022-to-win A-Main in second, Stormy dropped two spots in the 50-lap affair to register a fourth-place finish. He trailed Brandon Sheppard, Mike Marlar, Tanner English to the checkers with Ricky Thornton Jr. coming in fifth.
On Thursday evening at Lincoln Speedway (Lincoln, Ill.), Scott secured his spot into the main event with a heat win. With $22,022 on the line, Stormy carried a steady pace throughout the 50-lapper to finish fifth. He followed Dennis Erb Jr., Brandon Sheppard, Garrett Alberson, and Chris Simpson across the line.
For the MARS Racing Series-sanctioned Farmer City 74 presented by Douglas Dodge on Friday at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.), Stormy’s sixth-place finish in his heat race relegated him into the B-Main for another shot at the A-Main. Taking the top-three, Scott fell short with a fifth-place outing.
To wrap up the weekend, Scott stopped at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.) on Saturday for the Titan Industries FALS Spring Shootout. Following the eighth-fastest time in his group, Stormy gained two spots in his heat race to capture the win. Starting the $30,000-to-win finale in fourth, Scott was an early retiree on lap 17 while running in sixth with motor issues.
With four events completed, Stormy is currently second in the Castrol FloRacing Night in America point standings.
