RUSTY DIAMOND CORES LLC NAMED TITLE SPONSOR FOR SIX RACE SERIES
LANCASTER, N.Y. (March 16, 2024) – No stranger to supporting Western New York 4 Cylinder racing, Jeff Szafraniec, owner of Rusty Diamond Cores LLC has worked with Lancaster Motorplex management to secure an additional two (2) races on the Big Track for the 4 Cylinder division.
Along with the now scheduled six races on the famed Lancaster oval, there will be a year-end points fund for the top 10 in Big Track points for the Rusty Diamond Cores LLC Pro 4s. A rule book for this division will be released in the coming days and will be available online at www.lancastermotorplexny.com
“We reached out to the track see if there was a possibility to get a few more dates added to make the Big Track 4 Cylinders a class,” Szafraniec said. “After discussing it with Speedway management, we were able to come to terms on a six-race schedule,” Szafraniec added. The dates that were added were Saturday, May 11, and Saturday, September 7, to the already four scheduled races on the Big Track for the Pro 4 division.
“We wanted to support and reward the local 4 cylinder “pro style” racer with somewhere to race after other series and tracks went in different directions with their rule’s packages. I felt this left a lot of drivers without a place to call home,” speedway management said.
Points will be rewarded through all six events, including the 36th US Open. The first four events (May 11, June 1, June 15, August 3) will boast a $275 to win purse. The fifth event will be the Butch Palmer Memorial Race on Saturday, September 7 with a $400 to win payday. The US Open finale on September 28 will feature a $500 to win event and will crown the Pro 4 Champion.
