Marathon No Prep Street Night & Rotary Drives this weekend!
This Saturday kicks off the first event in the Marathon No Prep Street Night Series! Gates open at 2 pm with cars on track at 4 pm. Admission is just $10 for adults, $8 for military and Seniors, $5 for youth and kids 10 and under are free. It’s just $25 to test your car. You will need a helmet, long sleeves, closed shoes and full pants to go down the strip. The Greenlight Grill and the High Octane Lounge will be open as well.
We’ll follow that up on Sunday with our annual Rotary Drives fundraiser. Gates open at 11 and you can run your personal vehicle on the strip or on the oval track with 100% of the proceeds going to Wasilla Noon Rotary. You can run once down the drag strip for $10 or make three passes for $25. Try your hand at the NASCAR oval with three laps for $25, six for $45 or 10 laps for $80.
GENERAL REGULATIONS For the Fundraiser:
Please respect our charitable organization and do not take more laps than what was paid for.
Your vehicle must be street-legal. (Street legal: having whatever equipment or features the law would require to allow one to operate it legally on the roads at any time and without restriction.) We reserve the right to inspect/refuse track entry of any vehicle not meeting safety standards.
Motorcycles are NOT able to drive on the track.
Helmets are NOT required.
No alcohol consumption before/during driving.
The lap(s) will be paced by a pace vehicle. Depending on weather and track conditions, you can exceed regular road speed limits.
No passing of the pace car or any other vehicle.
Keep both hands on the wheel at all times while driving.
Everyone must wear a seat belt at all times.
All drivers must show a valid driver's license, but passengers of all ages are permitted.
Drivers under 18 MUST have a legal guardian or parent with them at all times. Underage drivers will not be able to be on track with other drivers.
Cash or credit cards will be accepted for donations. Please, no personal checks.
