Dillon McCowan runner-up in MLRA Throwback opener at Springfield Raceway
Sticking close to the house over the weekend, Dillon McCowan checked into Springfield (Mo.) Raceway on Friday afternoon for the two-day MLRA Throwback event.
In a competitive 28-car field, McCowan laid down the second-fastest lap in his qualifying group and grabbed the checkered flag in his heat race. Starting fourth in the 30-lap opener, Dillon moved up to a second-place finish behind Brian Shirley.
McCowan dealt with mechanical issues the following night and was a scratch.
