Howard Moore opens 2025 season with World of Outlaws
Howard Moore's 2025 season kicked off this past weekend with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series for a doubleheader in Alabama and Mississippi.
Aboard the Mike's Pool Care No. 40 Sprinter on Friday at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.), Moore squeezed into the Dega Duel opener with a sixth-place finish in his heat race. Taking the green in 18th, Howard was an early retiree from the 35-lapper on the fifth circuit.
For the $12,000-to-win Black Ice Brawl on Saturday at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Miss.), Howard followed up a seventh-place finish in his heat with a third-place outing in the Last Chance Showdown. Despite his best efforts, the 35-lap affair proved challenging, and Moore was ultimately scored 22nd at the checkered flag.
