Gregg Satterlee
Pair of Top-5 finishes with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at Hagerstown & Port Royal
Fresh off his first victory of the season, Gregg Satterlee returned to action with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series over the weekend, beginning with Friday’s Melvin L. Joseph Memorial at Georgetown Speedway (DE), where 27 entries were on hand.
Satterlee’s night was hindered by early mechanical issues, limiting him to time trials and forcing him to miss his scheduled heat race. Starting from the rear in his consolation event, he managed to gain five positions to finish seventh.
The weekend resumed Saturday at Hagerstown Speedway (MD) for the Conococheague 50. Satterlee delivered a strong performance in his heat race, advancing from fifth to second to earn a spot in the $25,000-to-win main event. He carried that momentum into the feature, driving to a fourth-place finish behind Ricky Thornton Jr., Garrett Alberson, and Daulton Wilson. Brandon Sheppard rounded out the Top-5.
Satterlee capped the weekend on Sunday at Port Royal Speedway (PA), where he ran as high as third in the 40-lap finale before ultimately securing a fifth-place finish.
