Cox charges to Xtreme Outlaw Midget top-10 at Airport Raceway
In his first race in more than two months, Burkburnett, Texas native Bradley Cox returned to competition over the weekend at Airport Raceway, as the Kansas oval hosted the Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series for a Memorial Day weekend doubleheader.
Among 29 entries in Saturday’s opener, Cox advanced to the feature with a heat race victory. After a mechanical issue forced him to start at the tail of the field, he charged forward, gaining 12 positions to finish 10th in the 25-lap main event.
Sunday’s finale was washed out due to inclement weather.
