POWRi WAR Sprints at Macon Speedway Canceled Due to Soaking Conditions
Macon, IL (6/5/25) Due to ongoing weekly rainfall causing overly saturated venue grounds, the scheduled Wholesale Batteries POWRi WAR Sprint/Midwest Wingless Racing Association Challenge Series event at Macon Speedway on Saturday, June 7 has been canceled by track and series officials.
Despite the efforts of track crews and officials, continued wet weather has created conditions unsuitable for racing, prompting the difficult decision to cancel the event in the interest of safety for drivers, teams, and fans.
“With the amount of rain we’ve already received—and more on the way—we simply wouldn’t be able to provide the racing surface or experience our fans and drivers deserve,” said POWRi Series Director Talin Turner. “We’re grateful to everyone who worked to make this event possible and look forward to the future scheduled dates.”
Next up for the Wholesale Batteries Challenge Series is the Father’s Day Special at Lake Ozark Speedway on Saturday, June 14.
A potential reschedule is under review and will be announced if confirmed. Stay up to date by visiting www.powri.com and following POWRi and Macon Speedway on social media.
