Gregg Satterlee Opens Appalachian Mountain Speedweek With Port Royal Victory

Seven-Race Miniseries Continues Tuesday at Path Valley Speedway

INDIANA, Pa. (06/09/25) – Gregg Satterlee picked up right where he left off in 2024, opening the Selinsgrove Ford Appalachian Mountain Speedweek (AMS) with a dominant victory Saturday night at Port Royal Speedway.

The reigning miniseries champion drove his Satterlee Motorsports / Keyser Manufacturing No. 22 Rocket Chassis Late Model to the $5,000 triumph after Friday’s scheduled opener at Clinton County Motor Speedway was rained out.

A three-time winner in last year’s AMS, Satterlee tracked down early leader Trever Feathers and pulled away late to secure his 10th career AMS victory.

“We had a good car, just when we got to lapped traffic, I was not quite as maneuverable. We got to racing Trever (Feathers) and I got into him a little bit there when I passed him, I didn’t mean to do that, but we kinda both came low into the corner at the same time,” Satterlee said. “But the car was good, once I got up front I could try to maintain and make good corners to how my car wanted to be the best.”

Satterlee’s rain-shortened weekend began on a strong note at the Pennsylvania oval known as the Speed Palace. He posted the fourth-fastest time in his 20-car qualifying group and backed it up with a convincing heat race win.

From the outset of the 35-lap feature, Satterlee was on the move. After slipping past Trevor Collins for second on lap 10, he powered by pole-starting Feathers 12 laps later and never looked back, cruising to his third victory of the 2025 season.

Satterlee finished 1.249 seconds ahead of Jared Miley with Feathers completing the podium in third.
