Tyler Millwood kicks off 2025 Hell Tour; eighth-place finish at Peoria Speedway

With ambitions to run the entirety of the mini-tour, Tyler Millwood made the long trip up to the Midwest to kick off the 2025 DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour.

Millwood started things off at Brownstown (Ill.) Bullring on Tuesday afternoon where he just missed the $5,000-to-win opener with a sixth-place finish in the last chance showdown. Tyler showed some speed the following night at Kankakee (Ill.) County Speedway, qualifying fastest in his group and picking up a heat race win. Millwood started fourth in the 30-lap feature but hopped over the cushion and fell back to finish 14th.

Putting together his best run on Thursday evening at Peoria (Ill.) Speedway, Millwood charged from sixth-to-third in his heat and made up three spots from 11th in the $5,000-to-win show to record a Top-10 in eighth. Friday's $10,000-to-win show at Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Ill.) was postponed due to rain.

Millwood finished out the first week of the Hell Tour at Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway and Sycamore (Ill.) Speedway, but did not make either main event on Saturday or Sunday.

Results from the first week can be viewed at www.DIRTcarSummerNationals.com.
