Crate Racin' USA - National Points Update (Week 16)

Crate Racin' USA - National Points Update - Week 16

CRUSA Weekly Late Models:
In the Weekly Late Models division, the summit remains unchanged, with Shannon Lee continuing his reign atop the standings at 558 points. Ben Davis holds firm in second with 548, and Sid Scarbrough has started to close the gap—making a 40-point gain to pull within just 12 markers of the runner-up spot.

But the real story comes from rookie Brody Williams, who surged forward this week. A strong performance vaulted him from fifth to fourth, bypassing both Brady Walton and James Shirley, and showing he’s not just here to learn—he’s here to contend. Shirley also makes a quiet climb, edging into fifth, pushing Walton down to sixth despite no loss in points.

As the dust settles, the Top 10 has trimmed down, with David Williamson, Kevin DuPont, and Blake Glass (R) falling from the leaderboard, making room for a more focused championship push. With more racing ahead, the leaderboard looks far from settled.

CRUSA Late Model Sportsman:
It’s starting to look like the Brett White Invitational in the Late Model Sportsman ranks, as the Kosciusko, MS driver holds steady with a perfect 594 points, keeping the rest of the field in his dust.

Behind him, it’s a tightly packed battle zone. Devin Whatley, Brandon Lunsford (R), and Zack Owens remain second through fourth, respectively, but the margins between them remain razor thin. Just 30 points separate second from fourth, and one big night could shake it all up.

Further back, Covy Parsons, Grayson Williams, and Allen Edwards continue to trade blows mid-pack, all hovering around the 450–430 range. The leaderboard remains unchanged in rank, but the fight behind White is intensifying—and it feels like only a matter of time before someone breaks through.

CRUSA Street Stock Division:
Calvin Martin continues to cruise at the front, holding strong with 684 points as the division’s most consistent force. But Malachi Magee (R) is still quietly knocking on the door, adding 8 points this week to stay within 58 of the top.

Mid-pack saw the biggest movement. Corey Buhler (R) and Travis Marsh both posted strong outings to stay tight in the top four, but it’s the shake-up behind them that’s the headline.

We now have a tie for fifth place, with Bryce Sheasby and Carlos Williamson (R) deadlocked at 463 points. That rare statistical standoff sets up a thrilling run into the next few weeks, where every position on track could tip the balance.

Meanwhile, Chase Pennington and Cale Buhler crash the party, jumping into the Top 10, while early-season favorites Richard Zeller and James Sheasby drop out. The parity is real in this division—and the margin for error is paper thin.

CRUSA Modified Sportsman:
The Modified Sportsman division had a calm week—at least on the surface. Colton Grimes continues his rule at the top with 406 points, keeping Ron Grandel 40 points behind in second. Though there’s no movement in the standings, the numbers show a tightening pack.

Chad Gentry (R) and Keith Coan continue to shadow one another, separated by just 2 points in third and fourth. Luke Riddle remains within reach in fifth, while Brandon Meeks (R) and Eddie Riddle keep things interesting in the middle of the pack.

It’s been a quiet week in terms of reshuffling, but one bad night—or one feature win—could change everything. With the front four still within 100 points of each other, don’t let the unchanged order fool you: the Modified Sportsman title fight is heating up.
