Tate Gurney Wins Restrictor and Levi Ballard Jr Sprint Victor in KKM Challenge Preliminary Night at SSMC
Sweet Springs, MO. (6/27/25) Running divisional competitions of Preliminary Night in the third yearly Eibach Racing KKM Challenge presented by Start2Finish event at Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex would find Tate Gurney earn the feature victory in the Non-Wing Restrictor division, as Levi Ballard would visit victory lane driving in the Jr Sprint division.
Establishing a relentless field of thirty Non-Wing Restrictor divisional entries, Mavrick Page would outpace others by setting the hot-lap quick time with a lap of 13.183 seconds as Paxton Belchik positioned the early standard of speed over the Jr Sprinters with a lap time of 14.802 seconds in the early SSMC competitions for Preliminary Night of the third yearly KKM Challenge.
Competing in heat racing action at Sweet Springs for the Non-Wing Restrictor would find Mason Vincent, Cash Lacombe, Gavyn Bolt, and Deekan McRoberts earning the victories as Kruize Parson and Gage Pio would gain early on-track wins in the Jr Sprint division with Levi Ballard taking checkers in the lone Non-Wing Restrictor semi-feature. KKM Challenge Preliminary Night High Point Qualifiers earning the feature pole starting positions would be Cash Lacombe in the Non-Wing Restrictor, as well as Gage Pio in Jr Sprints.
Challenging in feature oppositions for the Jr Sprints would find a thrilling drive as Levi Ballard would claim his sixth series victory after leading the final pair of laps from starting second position, with early leader Gage Pio holding steady in a close runner-up placing position. Bryton Buoy would place third, with Liam Barton hard charging to finish fourth as Owen Larson rounded out the POWRi Jr Sprint top five finishers for the Preliminary Night competition of the KKM Challenge at Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex.
Proceeding onto the smooth and speedy surface of Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex for the Non-Wing Restrictor feature would find third-starting Tate Gurney leading the final eight laps of the green flag feature to score the victory. Leader of twelve early laps, Cash Lacombe would cross the checkered flag second with Deekan McRoberts placing third from starting fourth, as Mason Vincent finished fourth ahead of Braxton Flatt, who rounded out the top five finishers of Preliminary Night for the KKM Challenge feature event.
