Karter Sarff Wins Night One at Coles County with POWRi National Midgets and Xtreme
Mattoon, IL. (5/30/25) Karter Sarff would lead the final fifteen laps in Night One of ‘King of Coles’ to earn his ninth career feature win with the POWRi National Midget League, running in conjunction with Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series presented by Toyota, at Coles County Speedway on Friday.
Early on-track excitement with thirty-seven entries in the POWRi National Midgets, running in conjunction with Xtreme Outlaw Midgets, would find Ethan Mitchell start the action off with a quick-time in group qualifying with a lap of 10.323 seconds as Hayden Wise, Colton Robinson, Kaiden Manders, Karter Sarff, and Joe B Miller would each notch heat racing victories as well as Chase McDermand and Trey Marcham taking the semi-feature wins.
Setting the feature, high-point qualifier Karter Sarff would roll an invert of six to find Colton Robinson and Kaiden Manders leading the field to green with Cannon McIntosh gaining the initial advantage as Kameron Key, Kaiden Manders, Karter Sarff, and Colton Robinson swapped spots for the early top five.
Overtaking for the lead on lap ten after a pair of cautions, Karter Sarff would soar to the front as Kameron Key and Jacob Denney would stay within striking distance with Colton Robinson, Cannon McIntosh, Zach Daum, Trevor Cline, Chase McDermand, Brandon Carr, and Hayden Wise inside the mid-feature top ten.
Holding the front of the field over a late race restart, Karter Sarff would not be denied in gaining his second seasonal victory with hard-charger Jacob Denney moving past ten competitors into the runner-up spot as Kameron Key finalized the podium placements in a hard-fought twenty-five lap event.
Flying amongst the front of the field, Colton Robinson would finish fourth with Zach Daum rounding out the POWRi National Midget League, running in conjunction with the Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series presented by Toyota, top-five finishers at Coles County Speedway on Night One in ‘King of Coles’.
