Threatening Weather Conditions Cancel JCB Diggin’ Dirt 40 at Brownstown Bullring
FAIRBURY, IL (April 24, 2025) – With numerous rounds of showers and storms expected throughout the day on Friday, the MARS Late Model Championship Powered by FK Rod Ends and MARS Modified Championship Powered by Summit Racing Equipment event scheduled for Friday, April 25 at Brownstown Bullring in Brownstown, Illinois has been canceled.
“The last thing we want everyone to do is waste the time and money of all parties involved and try to race on a day where the percentages of showers and storms are 70%+ for numerous hours throughout the day,” said Brownstown Bullring promoter Josh Carroll. “With people’s safety in mind, we feel like this is the best decision for the drivers, teams, and fans.”
This event will not be rescheduled. The MARS Late Model Championship Powered by FK Rod Ends return to the Brownstown Bullring on Friday, September 19 for the Brownstown 100 paying $10,000-to-win. As the chase for the title is expected to come down to the wire, this event is sure to be crucial on the chase for the championship.
Both the MARS Late Model and MARS Modified tours return to action on Saturday, April 26 at the famed Peoria Speedway for the Garry Swibold Memorial.
