LATE MODELS HEADING BACK UP TO MAYETTA
NCRA Crate Late Models Set for “Clash on the Hill” at Thunder Hill!
Park City, Kansas – July 23, 2018 - The National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products crate late model series kicks back into action this coming Saturday night as the tour heads to Thunder Hill Speedway in Mayetta, Kansas for the “Clash on the Hill” this Saturday night (July 28).
After the five events that have been completed thus far this season, only fifty-points separate the top four in the current point standings. Former series co-champion Daniel Smith of Beloit currently holds a slim five-point lead over veteran Delbert Smith of Wichita and Dusty Leonard of Marysville. Three-time and defending champion Chris Kratzer of Wichita is just fifty points out and fourth in the standings.
Nebraska’s Cory Dumpert leads the tour with two feature victories and sits just 120-points out of the lead while Jimmy Segraves, Brandon Givens, Adam Popp, Adam Schrag and Tony Foster rounding out the top ten.
Givens, Delbert Smith and Josh Leonard are the other drivers who also have victories on the tour this season with Givens having found victory lane at Thunder Hill Speedway back on May 26.
This event will pay the series standard $1000 to win.
Gates will open at 5:00 PM this coming Saturday night with drivers meeting at 6:30 PM; Hot laps at 7:30 PM and race action to follow.
Adult general admission is just $15 for adults and free for children 12 and under. Pit passes will be $30 for adults and just $15 for ages 12 and under.
