LEONARD TOPS LATE MODEL STANDINGS
Point-Leader Leonard Leads NCRA Late Models into 81 Speedway This Saturday Night!
Park City, Kansas – August 23, 2018 - With four events still remaining on the 2018 National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products crate late model schedule, drivers in contingent for the tour championship will look to gear up for the final stretch to conquer those honors. The first of those four remaining events will take place this coming Saturday night (August 25) as the NCRA Crate Late Model division heads to 81 Speedway in Park City.
Despite having yet reaching victory lane thus far this season, Dusty Leonard of Marysville, Kansas comes into the night with a slim 25-point lead over former series co-champion Daniel Smith. Former series champion Delbert Smith sits just 35-points out of the point lead while three-time and defending tour champion Chris Kratzer sits just 50-points out. Cory Dumpert of York, Nebraska has a tour-leading four feature victories and is just 70-points out of the point lead.
The tour last appeared at 81 Speedway back on June 16 when Delbert Smith picked up the victory over Leonard and a fourteen-car field.
Drivers from Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska will be on hand competing for the $1000 first place prize as well as series poins.
Grandstand admission is just $15 for adults, while children eleven and under will be admitted into the grandstands for free. However, in a special 81 Speedway promotion, if you are an Aircraft Employee, bring your badge and ID and you and one guest can be admitted into the grandstands for free.
Gates open at 5:00 PM with race action slated for a 7:00 PM start time.
