Brady Bacon Wins CornBelt Clash Night One with POWRi WAR-USAC National Sprints at Knoxville Raceway
Knoxville, IA. (5/30/25) Brady Bacon would strike for the lead at the perfect time to lead the final five laps in the opening night of the Avanti Windows & Doors CornBelt Clash at Knoxville Raceway featuring the Wholesale Batteries POWRi Wingless Auto Racing Sprint League, running in conjunction with the USAC National Sprint Cars, to notch his tenth career WAR feature victory in a hard-fought opening the weekend.
Battling at the iconic Knoxville Raceway, POWRi WAR/USAC National Sprints would find thirty-one talented traditional sprinters signed in as CJ Leary would set the quickest qualifying time with an 18.442-second lap. Heat Race winners included Justin Grant, Robert Ballou, Kyle Cummins, and Carson Garrett, with Wyatt Burks taking the semi-feature win.
Kick-starting the initial green flag start with high-point qualifier Chase Stockon and Briggs Danner lined up in the front row, Chase Stockon would gain the lead on the opening lap with Brady Bacon, Briggs Danner, Kevin Thomas Jr, and RJ Johnson blasting into the early contending top five.
Extending over a three-second lead out front, Chase Stockon would see his advantage shrink around the halfway point while holding off the continual efforts of Brady Bacon and Briggs Danner running within the podium contenders.
Overtaking for the lead on lap twenty, Brady Bacon would hold steady out front for the final five laps and the lap twenty-three restart to emerge victorious with WAR/USAC at Knoxville Raceway to notch his first yearly POWRi league victory. Staying in the hunt all night, Briggs Danner would finish runner-up as early leader Chase Stockon completed the final podium placements.
Challenging closely behind would find Robert Ballou finish fourth as Justin Grant rounded out the top-five finishers for the Wholesale Batteries Inc. POWRi WAR/USAC at Knoxville Raceway in the heightened seasonal event.
