Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals
Doubleheader Weekend at Buckshot Speedway and EAMS Next for Spring Nationals Tour
(BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) The Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals Series presented by Coltman Farms Racing and fueled by GoSunoco season fires back up this weekend in the state of Alabama. On Friday night, Buckshot Speedway in Clanton, Alabama will play host to a $7,553 to win program for the Super Late Models. The double-dip will then conclude on Saturday evening at the historic East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Alabama, as a $10,053 top prize will be up for grabs. Saturday’s show will also be the second round of the Coltman Farms Cup, which includes all of the $10,000+ races spanning both the Spring Nationals and Southern Nationals tours.
At Buckshot on Friday, March 28, the Spring Nationals will be joined by the Schaeffer’s Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series paying $2,000 to the winner. Other classes in action this Friday include the Open Wheel Modifieds ($700 to win), Factory Stocks ($400 to win), Crown Vics ($400 to win), Buzz 6’s ($400 to win), and Buzz 4’s ($400 to win). Adult admission into the stands will be $20.00, while adult admission into the pit area will be $45.00.
The racing program at Buckshot Speedway will be sponsored by Franklin Enterprises and will start with the Driver’s Meeting at 6:45pm. Hot Laps will then take to the racetrack starting at 7:00pm. There will also be an open practice session for all divisions on Thursday, March 27 from 6:00pm - 9:00pm. Buckshot Speedway is located at 1034 County Road 76 in Clanton, Alabama. On Saturday, March 29, the dirt-slinging action will quickly shift to East Alabama Motor Speedway. Joining the Super Late Models on the racing card will be the 604, 602, 602 Charger, Hobby, Road Warrior, Hot Shot, and Crown Vic classes. The pit gates will open at 2:00pm and the grandstands will start to allow fans into the facility starting at 5:00pm. Hot Laps are then scheduled to get underway at 6:00pm.
Adult admission into the grandstands will be $30.00, while kids ages 10 and under will be allowed into the stands for FREE. Pit admission will be $40.00 for adults, $20.00 for kids ages 5-10, and FREE for small children ages 4 and under. A pass for an ATV or SxS will be $15.00. The Spring Nationals tire rule in 2025 is Hoosier Racing Tire NLMT 2, 3, 4 and American Racer Tire 44, 48, Pro3/56, Pro4. Body rules and the Droop Rule will be the same as those agreed on by both the World of Outlaws Late Model Series and the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series - among others. The entry fee will be $100.00 each night and transponders will be available to rent. Any driver not advancing into the feature field will receive $75.00 in tow money.
