Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Releases Schedule of Events for 2024 Season

SOMERSET, KY (March 1, 2024)—Officials with the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series fueled by VP have released the 2024 schedule of events featuring 20 races.

The tour will visit four states, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Kentucky. Drivers will compete for a series points fund, contingencies as well as DIRTcar Regional and National points. Purses will be $5,000-to-win and $500-to-start and $7,500-to-win and $500-to-start. The series will offer a $10,000-to-win and $500-to-start purse for any additional tracks that could be added to the schedule.

The 2024 Champion will receive $15,000, while second place receives $7,500, third place will receive $4,000, fourth place receives $3,000, fifth place will receive $2,500, sixth place receives $2,000 while seventh through tenth place finishers in the final point standings will all receive $1,000. Drivers will only be required to take their best 80 percent of races towards the final points. The top-ten in points will be paid at the season-ending banquet. Prize money and points funds for the season are in excess of $500,000. Drivers will follow DIRTcar technical rules and the Hoosier NLMT-tire rule for each event. The tire rule will be announced prior to each event.

The tour will visit 15 race tracks, Atomic Speedway in Waverly, Ohio will host the most races on the tour with three events (May 11-Mother’s Day Shootout, June 1-June Jam, and September 21-Iron-Man Classic) along with the 16th Annual Baltes Classic on September 1 at the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. The series will also make visits to Attica (Ohio) Raceway Park, Merritt (Mich.) Speedway twice, Oakshade Raceway in Wauseon, Ohio for the 35th Annual Barney Oldfield Race, Tri-City Motor Speedway in Auburn, Mich., Crystal (Mich.) Motor Speedway, Butler Motor Speedway in Quincy, Mich., Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio, Brownstown (Ind.) Speedway for the 10th Annual Born Free 40, Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind. co-sanctioned with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals, two events at Mudlick Valley Raceway in Wallingford, Ky. on Sunday May 26 for the Story Realty (Flemingsburg, KY) 40 and Saturday June 15th sponsored by Jent Logging. Portsmouth (Ohio) Raceway Park will be on the schedule for the 13th Annual Boone Coleman Memorial Gator 50 paying $7,500-to-win on August 30, MRP Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio for “The Ike” race plus the “Impact RaceGear 40” event and Lawrenceburg (Ind.) Speedway on September 14.
