Track ID: Cedar Lake Speedway

With the 2nd Midwest Legends Dirt Series season right around the corner, we want to spotlight the tracks we will be visiting throughout the season. Some tracks will be familiar to fans of the MLDS while some tracks will be completely new. Let’s jump in and learn about some fantastic facilities!!

Cedar Lake Speedway is next on the schedule as the fifth track of the season. A world renowned facility welcomes legends back to the track for the first time in recent history.

A track synonymous with history, the track in New Richmond, Wisconsin hosts major events yearly, such as the Legendary Opener weekend, the annual World of Outlaws Showdown with the World of Outlaw Sprint Cars, the annual USA Nationals with the World of Outlaws Late Models, and the annual Legendary 100. The track normally boasts weekly classes such as UMSS Traditional Sprint Cars, USRA Late Models, Street Stocks, Pro Stocks, and Modifieds. Cedar Lake Speedway truly is a racers racetrack, with a unique track surface and great facilities, Cedar Lake Speedway is a track you have to visit at least once in your life.

A big question mark is in the air when it comes to who to watch. Since legends have not been at the speedway in more than ten years by our research, no real driver jumps out. Any of the western drivers such as Mark Broer, Chris Sleep, or rookie Josiah Kottschade could all be drivers who could upset some regulars.

The 3/8th mile high banked clay oval will host a single date for the MLDS in 2025. Saturday, May 24th is the date to mark on your calendars for the upcoming event. The event is the tracks annual pack the track night, meaning everyone gets into the grandstands for free!!
