Thunder Through the Plains: URSS and United Rebel Late Models Set for Two-Night Kansas Showdown

5/8/2025 Hutchinson, KS (www.urssracing.com) - The United Rebel Sprint Series presented by RacinDirt is set to ignite the Kansas dirt this weekend with back-to-back nights of racing action on Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10, featuring both 305 sprint cars and the United Rebel Late Model Series presented by Nutrien Ag Solutions and POWRi Racing.

Friday night action kicks off at Salt City Racing in Hutchinson, Kansas, where both divisions will battle for $1,000 to win in an exciting start to the weekend.

Then on Saturday, the tour heads west to Dodge City Raceway Park for the marquee event of the weekend: the Rick Salem Memorial, honoring the beloved founder and guiding force behind the URSS.

Saturday’s show features:

$1,022 to Win – URSS 305 Sprint Cars

$1,000 to Win – United Rebel Late Model Series

Sprint Car Bonus Awards:

Hard Charger Award: $200

Longest Tow Award: $150

Hard Luck Award: $250

Heat Race Win Bonus: $100

With four drivers within 34 points of the lead and two big-money races this weekend at Salt City Racing and Dodge City, the championship picture could shift dramatically.
