RAIN CONTINUES TO PLAY HAVOC WITH 2025 FLYNN’S TIRE/GUNTER’S HONEY TOUR CANCELLING FRIDAY’S HOVIS RUSH LATE MODEL EVENT AT MCKEAN

(Smethport, PA)...Rain that began Thursday evening and continued into Friday morning along with a high likelihood of thunderstorms throughout the day and evening has washed out Friday’s Flynn’s Tire/Gunter’s Honey Touring Series event at McKean County Raceway for the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Late Models presented by Born2Run Lubricants. It marked the seventh event rainout in the first 10 scheduled events for the rain-plagued season.
The Flynn’s Tire/Gunter’s Honey Tour will resume June 19-21 at Lernerville Speedway with its biggest event of the season- the “Bill Emig Memorial” presented by Sunoco Race Fuels in conjunction with Joseph J. Oliva Attorney at Law and Seal-Tite Paving & Excavating. FK Rod Ends Qualifying will take place on Thursday with FK Rod Ends heat races and the “John Buzzard Memorial” Sunoco Dash on Friday followed by last chance B mains, the 50-lap $20,000 to-win feature, and the $500 to-win D&V Jewelers Non-Qualifier presented by Close Racing Supply. Two7 Manufacturing will award a pit box valued at $3,000 to a lucky racer and numerous, valuable contingences have again been posted for non-qualifiers.
