Southern Showcase at Swainsboro Raceway Canceled Due to Excessive Rainfall
SWAINSBORO, Ga. (May 29) — Following a significant amount of rainfall at Swainsboro Raceway throughout the week and with more expected through the remainder of Thursday and into Friday, this weekend’s Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series-sanctioned Southern Showcase has been cancelled.
The decision was made jointly by track and series officials in the best interest of fans and racers. With the grounds already heavily saturated and more rain on the way, the racing surface and the facility simply won’t be in suitable condition to host the event.
While no optimal reschedule date is available at this time, the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series looks forward to returning to Swainsboro Raceway in the future.
The Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series returns to action June 27-28 with a doubleheader weekend at Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, Ky., and Florence Speedway in Union, Ky.
