Weather Forces Mississippi-Alabama Doubleheader for CRUSA Late Model Sportsman Tour
(Eastaboga, AL – June 11, 2025) – A washout forecast has once again altered the 2025 racing schedule for the Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin’ USA Late Model Sportsman Tour, setting up a rare and exciting double-header weekend this August.
Officials at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi announced today via social media that this weekend’s annual Clash at the Mag has been postponed due to an unfavorable weather forecast. The rescheduled date aligns with an already planned event, creating a weekend of back-to-back racing across two states.
Originally, Saturday, August 9th had been set aside to host the 602 World Championship make-up race at Magnolia Motor Speedway, which was postponed back on May 25th due to weather. That rescheduled event will now take place a day earlier, Friday, August 8th, with a $5,000-to-win main event in Columbus, Mississippi.
Then, on Saturday, the tour will shift just over two hours east to Xtreme Speedway in Danville, Alabama, for a $2,500-to-win showdown—giving race fans in both Mississippi and Alabama a full weekend of high-stakes Late Model Sportsman racing.
This double-header announcement is particularly significant as the tour has faced multiple weather-related interruptions this season and has not completed a full event since March 29th at Needmore Speedway.
The series will look to regain momentum this Saturday, June 14th, at the Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama, with a $2,000-to-win feature event at the famed “Hornet’s Nest.”
