Lance Willix Parks in Fulton Speedway Modified Victory Lane for the First Time

By Dave Medler

FULTON, NY (June 7, 2025) – Lance Willix has consistently run up front at the Fulton Speedway in the Tracey Road DIRTcar Modifieds. One thing that eluded him was a feature win. That changed Saturday night when he parked his car in victory lane.

Other winners on Neivel Precision Plumbing and RVMD Oswego Service, Repair, and Parts night were, Jimmy Moyer (DOT Foods DIRTcar Sportsman) John Pietrowicz (Billy Whittaker Cars & Trux Hobby Stocks) Belle Hogan (E&V Energy Novice Sportsman)

Lance Willix would take the lead early in the 35-Lap Modified feature while the racing behind him was two and three wide on a multi-groove track.

On lap ten Willix would stretch his lead over Ryan Dolbear and Andrew Buff who were in a close battle for second and third with Ronnie Davis III and Willy Decker in the top five.

Lap traffic would slow up Willix as the top five started to reel him in.

Davis would move in on second place Dolbear on lap twenty-one just before a right rear flat sent him to the pits.

On the restart Buff would move into second with Larry Wight getting by Dolbear for third.

Over the remaining laps nobody challenged Lance Willix as he cruised under the checkers for his first Fulton Modified win. Andrew Buff, Billy Dunn, Larry Wight, and Willy Decker rounded out the top five.

Cody Manitta would grab the early lead in the 25-Lap, 26 car DOT Foods DIRTcar Sportsman feature.

By lap five Manitta still led with Cale Gareau, Brian Harber, Jimmy Moyer, and Jason Parkhurst racing in the top five.

Manitta still led at lap ten as Gareau, Moyer, Parkhurst, and Harber showed in the top five.

With ten to go Manitta was still out front while Parkhurst and Moyer started gaining on the leader.

Late yellows gave the field on last shot at Manitta. When the race went back to green Manitta was first under the checkers.

After the race Manitta was light on the scales giving to win to Jimmy Moyer. Jason Parkhurst, Emmett Waldron, Mike Fowler, and Kyle Perry finished second through fifth.

Ron Hawker would lead the opening four laps of the 15-Lap Billy Whittaker Cars & Trux Hobby Stock feature when John Pietrowicz took over the lead. Once out front Pietrowicz would cruise to the win. Ron Hawker, Brennan Fitzgibbions, Adam Hunt, and Andy Kieffer rounded out the top five.

Belle Hogan led every lap of the E&V Energy Novice Sportsman feature enroute to her first career victory. Andrew Eaton, Jacob Gurecki, Matt Bukovan, and Kylee Harris finished second through fifth.

A pair of $1000 to win King’s Smash ‘Em Crash ‘Em Demolition Derbies ended the night. Compact Chain and Bang was won by Freddie White. Compact Built was Walker Doney taking the win. Eve of Destruction at the New York State Fairgrounds October 24 & 25 gave each Demo winner a $150 bonus.

Saturday, June 14 RFH’s Hideaway & Empire Power Sports will present fan favorite crazy Chain Race.

Racing on the ‘Highbanks’ will feature the Tracey Road DIRTcar Modifieds, DOT Foods DIRTcar Sportsman, Billy Whittaker Cars & Trux Hobby Stocks, E&V Energy Novice Sportsman.
