RUSH Racing Officials Complete Engine Inspection of Bryce Bashore; Win Confirmed

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 16, 2025

On Monday morning, June 16th, RUSH Racing Series officials Vicki Emig and Travis Harry arrived in Georgetown, Delaware, to conduct a full technical inspection of the impounded engine belonging to Bryce Bashore, following Friday night’s Blue Hen Dispose-All 602 Sportsman Feature at Georgetown Speedway.

Representing the Bashore Racing Team were Mike and Brandon Ingram, while Mark Benston Sr. of Mark Benston Racing Engines served as the technical representative on behalf of Georgetown Speedway. Travis Harry led the teardown process of the RUSH-sealed engine, performing a meticulous inspection of all internal and external components.

The engine underwent a complete disassembly. Valve springs were tested, cylinder heads were CC’d and inspected, the camshaft was fully degreed and profiled using a cam doctor, and all pistons and rods were removed, measured, and checked for legality. The engine block itself was measured, and bore sizes were confirmed to be within legal parameters. By the end of the inspection, the engine was fully stripped down to its bare block and individual components.

Following this extensive review, all components of the Bashore engine were determined to be in full compliance with RUSH Racing Series regulations. As a result, Bryce Bashore’s win has been officially awarded and upheld.

The engine will now be transported to Ingram Racing Engines, where it will be professionally reassembled for the Bashore team and a set of gaskets and seals will be provided courtesy of the RUSH Racing Series.

Georgetown Speedway General Manager Chad Cathell extended his appreciation to the RUSH technical team for their professionalism and thoroughness, stating, “The attention to detail and transparency shown by the RUSH officials was exemplary. Their process ensures a level playing field for all competitors and helps maintain the integrity of our events.”

Track management will be contacting all drivers who competed in Friday night’s event to confirm mailing addresses. Teams are also encouraged to reach out directly if they have not yet been contacted. Once address verification is complete, all held purse checks will be mailed within 24 hours.

Up next at Georgetown Speedway is the Bay Line Construction Thursday Night Thunder presented by 811 Call Before You Dig, set for Thursday, June 26.
