48th Annual Jamestown Stock Car Stampede Calcutta - September 19th
2019 Jamestown Stock Car Stampede - September 20th & 21st & 2019 Jamestown Stock Car Stampede Calcutta - September 19th!
Drivers and Fans: The Jamestown Speedway and the Knight of Columbus #1883 of Jamestown will once again be holding the driver's Calcutta in conjunction with the 2019 Jamestown Stock Car Stampede, which takes place on September 20th and 21st. Drivers in the following Stampede classes will be auctioned off this year: Wissota Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Wissota Street Stocks, Wissota Midwest Modifieds, IMCA Sport Mods, INEX Legends, Bombers (Central Dakota Pure Stocks), and Hornets (Mini Stocks & Sport Compacts).
The Calcutta will take place on Thursday, September 19th in the Beer Gardens on the Stutsman County fairgrounds behind the Jamestown Speedway (Must be 21 to enter the beer gardens, under 21 drivers will be allowed in enter to get auctioned off but must leave afterwards). Auction starts at 6:00 pm to be followed by music provided by the Corner Bar after the auction is completed. It is sure to be a great time, so come check out the 2018 Jamestown Stock Car Stampede Calcutta. The bar will open at 5:00, with the auction beginning right after around 6:00 (No coolers or outside beverages will be allowed). Additionally, food will be available for everyone that is attending the Calcutta.
Three things will happen this year during the auction. One, everyone will get a chance to buy their favorite drivers, with the opportunity to win big bucks. Second, from the bidding that takes place, 10% will go into the prize fund for the drivers at the Stampede, 50% will go back to the winner's bid in each class, and 40% will go towards charities. Third, it is a sure thing that everyone will have a great time.
We do need all the drivers and fans help to make this event a huge success. Please e-mail Paulette at jmstcalcutta@hotmail.com, contact the raceline at 701-527-2467, or mail entries to 1607 Hwy 281 North, Jamestown, ND 58401 with driver information for the Calcutta. Information should include the driver's name, driver's class, car number, e-mail if possible, phone number, address, and etc.
Remember Drivers: IT IS FREE TO ENTER THIS EVENT AND IT WILL PROVIDE FOR EXTRA MONEY IN THE PRIZE FUND!! Everyone has had a great time over the past few years, and we are looking forward to the same this year.
