Adam Stricker Sweeps the Night for the Modifieds
Stricker Holds off Hamilton for First Modified Feature Win!
Batavia, Ohio’s Adam Stricker isn’t a regular competitor at Lawrenceburg Speedway, but when he signs in back in the pit area, he is always one to keep an eye on. Recently, Stricker has been racing Late models, but occasionally hops back in a modified to race. Stricker would begin the modified feature from the pole position alongside Matt Hamilton, who is considered one of the greatest, if not the greatest of all time to race a modified at Lawrenceburg. Stricker would grab the lead on the opening lap going into turn one by sliding up in front of Hamilton. Hamilton spent the remaining laps of the feature chasing Stricker around the 3/8-mile clay oval. Hamilton, rarely beaten at his home track would have to settle for second place behind Stricker who picked up the feature win. Cory Skipton, Matthew Morris, and Brandon Webber rounded out the top 5.
Adam Stricker won the heat race for the modifieds in support of USAC Indiana Sprint Week. The modifieds return to Lawrenceburg on Saturday August 16th .
