California RaceSaver Sprints
Weekly Message from the Promoter
This past weekend marked our second race as promoters, and while we hit a few bumps in the road, that’s just part of the game. At any racetrack, things shift, schedules get moved around due to car counts and time constraints, and unfortunately, we experienced a lighting issue that was out of everyone’s control. Despite all that, I truly believe we had some great racing.
I want to give a huge shoutout to all the drivers who tackled a not-so-well-lit track and still went green to checkered with no cautions or reds. That’s no small feat. They put on edge-of-your-seat racing, a 25-lap main event completed in 6 minutes and 25 seconds! That’s impressive, and a testament to the talent we’ve got running with us. Hats off to you all for keeping the wings up top and the show rolling.
We also received positive feedback from the promoter at Bakersfield, who’s already looking forward to having us back on May 3rd, that’s a big win for the series.
From the promoter/official side, I won’t sugarcoat it, it was a stressful night with its own set of issues. One thing I continue to learn is that no night will ever go exactly as planned. It’s about learning to shake off what you can’t control and keep moving forward. As frustrating as it can be at times, I love what we’re doing and remain committed to bringing this series back to life. Without the tracks, the series, and especially the fans, we have nothing. So we adapt, we improve, and we keep showing up.
Next stop: Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway on April 26th for the Brian & Chris Faria Memorial, a night full of winged sprint cars. The RaceSaver Sprints, 360s, and NARC 410s will all be on tap. I can’t wait to witness the winged madness myself!
I’m proud to say the last two events have drawn more cars than many races in the past 2–3 seasons, and that says a lot about where we’re headed. We’ve even got interest coming from Texas and Kansas teams looking to run with us this summer. People are watching, and make no mistake: between our sponsors, drivers, teams, crews, and families, no one’s dedication is going unnoticed.
And finally, to our sponsors, thank you. Your support and encouragement mean the world. You continue to believe in us and step up whenever we need help, and I couldn’t be more grateful.
Let’s keep building. On to Tulare!
