Thunder Mountain Speedway Celebrates 30 Years of Racing in 2025
Thunder Mountain Speedway is marking a major milestone in 2025—its 30th anniversary! Founded by owner Karl Spoonhower in 1995, this family-run racetrack has become a staple of Saturday night excitement for both local and regional racing fans.
In 2025, Thunder Mountain Speedway will celebrate its 30th year by bringing back two iconic racing classes—358 Modifieds and IMCA Modifieds. These fan favorites will alternate weeks, ensuring that every Saturday night provides not just one, but two thrilling modified events. The addition of these two classes will complement the regular racing program, featuring a wide variety of other classes including Modifieds, DIRTcar Sportsman, Factory Stocks, 600cc Modifieds, and 600 Sprints.
This exciting update will bring a new level of competition to the track, allowing fans to enjoy the spectacle of two modified races every Saturday night. Whether you’re a longtime fan of the Speedway or a newcomer, Thunder Mountain's 30th season is shaping up to be one for the record books.
