Shane Sabraski Wins Thrilling Modified Feature the Final Night of the 2025 MTH MN Modified Nationals

By: Tami Jo Kuehn

Ogilvie, MN (May 25) – Sunday night wrapped up the 2025 Minnesota Truck Headquarters MN Modified Nationals presented by FYE Motorsports which featured three impressive nights of racing. The night of WISSOTA Dirt Track Race Action kept fans on the edge of their seats as they watched Shane Sabraski, Rowan Tramm and Tony Jenson take wins, and Joey Jensen doubled up.

James Trantina, Joey Jensen and Dexton Koch went three-wide as the green waved and battled for the top point as the WISSOTA Super Stock feature kicked off. Jensen nosed out the lead with Trantina snagging second and Koch in third. Koch kept close to Trantina while Shane Sabraski moved in to battle. Trantina took second and as Koch and Sabraski battled for third, they both looped around in the curve and a yellow was triggered. The field was reset with Jensen in control followed by Trantina and Ryan Kostreba. Drivers were three-wide and battled for positions while Jensen stretched his lead. Dylan Nelson passed Kostreba, challenged Trantina and took over second. Nelson looked ahead at Jensen with a handful of laps to go. One final caution occurred for debris, but Joey Jensen was unphased as he sped away and took the win. Remaining top points went to James Trantina, Shane Sabraski, Dylan Nelson and Max Nelson respectively.

Joey Jensen snagged the lead when the green waved for the WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds as Cole Boston, Ryan Savoy and Jake Smith were nearly three-wide for second. After a few laps, Boston secured the point leaving Smith and Savoy fighting for third. At this time, Jensen was already putting drivers down a lap and soon found himself in heavy traffic. Boston took advantage of this and closed the gap Jensen had established. With just five laps remaining, a driver spun in the curve and triggered a caution. Jensen brought the drivers back to green, and with no traffic in front of him, Joey Jensen took his second win of the night. Lucas Rodin finished second with Jake Smith, Cole Boston and Ryan Savoy as the top drivers.

The WISSOTA Modifieds went green with Shane Sabraski and Jody Bellefeuille leading the way. Sabraski claimed the lead with Jeremy Nelson and Jack Rivord in tow. Clayton Wagamon shot between Rivord and Landon Atkinson for third, then took second and began to chase after Sabraski as the yellow appeared. A few restarts took place, but Sabraski had no issues as he drove away from the pack and cruised around the Big O. Sabraski caught slower traffic and began to put drivers down a lap as a final caution was triggered with three laps to go. Sabraski was in command on the restart but an eager Nelson and Wagamon were on his rear. Sabraski took the lead with Nelson racing low, and Wagamon running High. They were three-wide in turn four, and Wagamon shot into the lead as they exited the curve. Sabraski slid back into the top position, with Wagamon and Nelson still at his rear. Shane Sabraski kept his foot down and got the win with Jeremy Nelson, Clayton Wagamon, Aaron Johnson and Landon Atkinson rounding out the top five.

The WISSOTA Mod Fours were next up, and Rowan Tramm took the lead with father son team of Dustin and Robert Holtquist in second and third. Tramm sped off and laps passed, until a car stalled in turns three and four which triggered a caution. Tramm brought the drivers back to green, but Dustin Holtquist was not too far behind. Laps passed quickly and Tramm stretched his lead to nearly 5 seconds, when the yellow waved a final time. The restart went green, white and checkered flags one after the other, and Rowan Tramm took his #14T to victory lane. Remaining top points went to Dustin Holtquist, Blake Hawker, Robert Holtquist and Tristan Torres.

The WISSOTA Hornets closed out the evening and race event with a caution free race. Tony Jenson, Bobie Arnes, Randy Jacoboski, Adam Throener, Nathaniel Kinne and Alexis Reynolds all took the green in that order, raced in that order and finished in the same fashion with Tony Jenson getting hardware for the second time of the weekend.

Next Saturday, Wagamon’s Ogilvie Raceway will be back in action with WISSOTA Modifieds, Midwest Modifieds, Super Stocks, Street Stock and Hornets taking the clay. The night will also be Kids Night – Meet the Drivers Night, so bring the kids and their friends for a great night of dirt track action.
