Friday Test & Tune Canceled, Focus Shifts To Saturday's Spring Fling Opener
To ensure the new clay at Volusia Speedway Park is in prime condition for racing on Saturday night, track officials have canceled Friday's Test & Tune to allow more time to work the surface.
Officials are committed to providing its loyal local competitors with the best track possible to start the 2025 season - a testament to the efforts of the new clay being brought in.
The 2024 Volusia Speedway Park champions banquet will be held on Friday night at 6 p.m. ET, with the top five from track points being celebrated at the Volusia Speedway Park bar (located at the campground).
Saturday's season-opening Spring Fling will run as scheduled Saturday night, March 22, featuring the "Fab 5" divisions - 604 Late Models, 602 Late Models, DIRTcar UMP Modifieds, 3/4 Modifieds, and Factory Stocks. Gate will open at 4 p.m., with Hot Laps beginning at 6 p.m.
