Pair of Top-5 finishes at River Cities and Nodak with World of Outlaws

With the four-day swing reduced to a three-day swing because of lingering wet weather, Drake Troutman rode high into River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, N.D.) on Friday afternoon fresh off his $20,000 triumph last weekend.

With 31 Super Late Models on hand for the weekend opener, Troutman finished third in his heat race and charged from the sixth-row in the $12,000-to-win main event to land inside the Top-5 in fourth. He trailed Nick Hoffman, Dennis Erb Jr., and Ashton Winger while Brian Shirley completed the Top-5.

Troutman started the night well at Norman County Raceway (Ada, Minn.) with a heat race victory, but eventually fell back in the 50-lap feature to finish 12th.

Drake found himself back in the Top-5 on Sunday evening as he drove to a fifth-place finish at Nodak Speedway (Minot, N.D.) in the weekend nightcap.

Drake currently sits in fourth in the World of Outlaw point standings.
