Pair of podium finishes at All-Tech Raceway during Winter Nationals
Daulton Wilson kicked off competition early in the week with a visit to Needmore Speedway (Norman Park, Ga.) on Tuesday evening for the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series Speedweeks debut.
Starting 10th in the $10,000-to-win feature, Wilson faded to finish 17th.
Thursday afternoon saw Daulton Wilson unload the JRR Motorsprots No. 18 machine at All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.) as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series continued their Speedweeks trek into the Sunshine State.
Among a 45-car field, Wilson qualified fifth-quickest in his group before finishing runner-up to Devin Moran in his heat race. After an extensive track rework, Daulton took the green flag in the $10,000-to-win opener and raced his way to a podium finish behind Ricky Thornton Jr. and Max Blair.
The following evening, Daulton once again finished second in his heat race and started fifth on the field for the $12,000-to-win feature. Wilson powered his way to the front and came up just short of the checkered flag. He trailed Ricky Thornton Jr. while Spencer Hughes completed the evening's podium.
With $15,000 on the line Saturday night, Wilson missed his mark during qualifying which forced him to charge forward in his heat race to finish third. Starting 10th in the feature with a rough and tumble racetrack, Daulton only made up four positions to finish sixth.
