Daulton Wilson scores $50,000 payday in XR 602 Nationals at Fayetteville Motor Speedway

Spring Nationals at I-75 Raceway Up Next

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. (4/14/25) – Daulton Wilson made the most of a hometown decision over the weekend, turning a local start into a lucrative payday at Fayetteville Motor Speedway. The Fayetteville, N.C., native delivered a flag-to-flag victory in the XR 602 Crate Nationals aboard his JRR Motor Sales / Earl Ramey Racing Engines No. 18D Longhorn Chassis Late Model.

Saturday night’s $50,000 triumph marked a new career high for Wilson, surpassing his previous best payday—earned at East Bay Raceway Park—by a staggering $35,000.

“This is awesome. This is where I learned how to race, and I’ve had a lot of great people that supported me and believed in me along the way,” Wilson said. “To be able to come back here and race, you know this is really special. I got my entire family here tonight. My brother, you know he busts his butt down here for his customers, and I appreciate him getting me pointed in the right direction, to get me started.”

With inclement weather forcing the originally scheduled three-day event into a single-day showdown, Daulton Wilson returned to his home turf at Fayetteville (N.C.) Motor Speedway on Saturday for the XR 602 Crate Nationals.

Joining a stacked field of 56 Late Models, Wilson clocked in fourth-fastest in his qualifying group before gaining one position in his heat race to finish second. Earning the pole for the feature, Daulton cruised to the 60-lap victory to claim his first win of the season and a career-high payday of $50,000. Chase Blackwell and Kenny Collins joined him on the podium.

As Wilson celebrated a milestone victory in North Carolina, his JRR Motorsports teammate Jason Jameson was back in action at Florence Speedway (Union, Ky.), making his third start of the season for the Northern Allstars Late Model Series sanctioned program. After turning in a heat race win, Jameson was one of two drivers that scratched from the 40-lap feature.

Looking ahead, JRR Motorsports is slated for just one event this weekend, with Wilson heading to I-75 Raceway for the Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals event. The fifth stop on the 14-race miniseries features a $10,053-to-win main event at the Sweetwater, Tennessee oval.
