Setser competes in Mid-America Midget Week at Jefferson County

Gunnar Setser made his debut with the USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship over the weekend as Nebraska’s Jefferson County Speedway hosted two rounds of Mid-America Midget Week.

Setser made an immediate impression by winning his heat race on Friday to earn a spot in the feature. However, his momentum was cut short when a broken rocker arm sidelined him early in the main event.

After his crew worked tirelessly to make repairs, Setser returned on Saturday and advanced into the finale with a fourth-place finish in his heat. He went on to cap his debut weekend with an 18th-place finish in the 30-lap feature.
