Dover Charges From 21st to Eighth at Huset’s Speedway

Inside Line Promotions – BRANDON, S.D. (May 27, 2025) – Jack Dover rebounded on Sunday at Huset’s Speedway following a tough start to his only race last weekend.

The Tim Estenson Motorsports driver timed in sixth quickest in his group before placing sixth in a heat race, relegating him to the outside front row starting position in the B Main.

“We went there with a completely different setup,” Dover said. “We worked on a couple of things from time trials and the heat race. After that was when we really hit on something. The main thing was the last corner of my heat race I drove the car in as hard as I could. It worked and worked good. I came in and told the guys we’d be good the rest of the night.”

Dover led the distance to win the B Main, earning a transfer into the 21st starting position in the main event. He methodically picked his way forward throughout the feature. The drive from 21st to eighth garnered the Hard Charger Award for passing the most cars.

“I was diamonding the corner in turns one and two,” he said. “That’s how good the car was. I’d go in there and the car would turn itself and diamond the corner. In turns three and four I could slide people, but mainly I was ripping the top. It feels really good to hit on something and gain the confidence to drive the car harder.”

Dover ranks fourth in the Huset’s Speedway championship standings – two points out of third place and 29 points behind the leader.

Sunday’s show was the only one of the weekend as Cressman Sanitation Midwest Sprint Touring Series 410 Sprint Cars races on Friday and Saturday rained out as well as the Huset’s Speedway weekend finale on Sunday.

Dover plans to race with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series this Friday at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, N.D., during the Gerdau Presents the 1st Leg of the World of Outlaws Northern Tour and Saturday at Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo, N.D., during the Ellingson Presents the Rumble on the Red. It will mark his season debut with the series and his career debut at each track.

The weekend concludes on Sunday with a return to Huset’s Speedway.
