Grew up watching my Step Dad Jim Belling race on and off in the 80's and 90's at WIR and as I got older started going in the pits. We also traveled around and watch races at Slinger and Golden Sands.
In the mid 90's after graduating high school getting a full time job, I started my racing with snowmobiles, racing USSA at places like Eagle River Derby, Antigo, Plymouth, Ashland, and Brainard for a few years.
In 2003 my wife Julie and I decided that we were going to start racing again with a stock car. We decided to race a super stock at Golden Sands Speedway. We ran that car pretty much full time at Golden Sands for 4-5 years, along with some races at Marshfield and Oktoberfest. We had a lot of fun and met a lot of great people and won some races and features along the way.
After our son was old enough I stopped racing and got him into go karts and we traveled around a few years doing the Kart thing and eventually got out of that and just relaxed, camped, watched some racing, 4 wheeled and snowmobiled.
In the mean time my step dad Jim had been doing some 4 cylinder stuff off and on since our days at Golden Sands, I wasn't really involved until around 2020 or so. He had a bad wreak with the Midwest Dash race at WIR. That winter I helped fix the car and we decided I would race Golden Sands and he would run the Midwest Dash. After a few weeks in the car he just let me run it full time. We ran Golden Sands 1 full season along with Hawkeye downs, Rockford, and Oktoberfest Midwest dash races. Then just Ran the Midwest Dash series a couple years and some other races. Again we met a lot of great people and competitors. We won some races and competed pretty competitively. We raced all around Wisconsin along with, Rockford, Grundy, and Hawkeye Downs it was a blast
After the 2023 season and racing we decided to take a year off, and build a Pro Late to compete at WIR, one of two asphalt tracks in the state that I have not raced(Milwaukee mile is the other one). For 2025 we plan on running the full season at WIR and a few other select event along with Oktoberfest.
Career Highlights
2023 2nd in Midwest Dash season Points. 4 fast times, 1 Feature win(Grundy), Current La Crosse Speedway track record holder for Midwest Dash series.
Most Memorable Moment
Traveling to North Wilkesboro Speedway and racing at the race track revival with Phil Malouf, our Families and crews.
