Jason Feger Crowned 2025 DIRTcar Summer Nationals Champion

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (07/14/25) — Despite suffering a flat tire while leading in Sunday night’s Hell Tour finale at Ohio’s Wayne County Speedway, Jason Feger clinched his second career DIRTcar Summer Nationals title in convincing fashion, finishing 93 points ahead of 2024 champion Tyler Erb.

The Bloomington, Illinois, native was awarded the $10,000 championship despite the disappointing end to his run in the 50-lap finale, a race he led early before a shredded tire forced him to settle for a 15th-place finish. He still collected $1,650 in lap money for time spent at the front.

The fifth and final week of the grueling Summer Nationals campaign kicked off last Monday at Indiana's Shadyhill Speedway. Maintaining the consistency that defined his 2025 run, Feger recorded an eighth-place finish on Tuesday, followed by a podium run with a third-place finish on Wednesday at Montpelier Motor Speedway.

The Illinois veteran then traveled to Michigan for a pair of events, notching a ninth-place finish at Butler Speedway and a sixth-place effort in Friday’s $10,000-to-win feature at Crystal Motor Speedway.

Feger added one final podium finish on Saturday with a third-place showing in the prestigious Birthday Race at Oakshade Raceway, setting the stage for Sunday’s title-clinching effort at Wayne County.
