Driver Information

Cainen Schulz is a 20 year old, 4th generation race car driver, who was named after the racetrack, Canaan Speedway. Cainen was bound to have racing in his blood. The Schulz family racing tradition in New England started in the 1960's with his grandfather Billy Schulz Sr., hall of famer Uncle Fred Schulz Sr., but most of all because of his father Billy Schulz Jr. Cainen's racing career began at seven years old in USAC quarter midgets at Little T Speedway. His desire to be at the racetrack grew stronger every race. Following in his father's footsteps, he tried his luck at kart racing. Bringing home many checkered flags, just like his dad, Cainen won the last Champ Kart race in the final days at the historical Woodstock Fair in Woodstock, CT. His journey began in full size cars after the owner of Bearidge Speedway, Butch Elms encouraged Cainen to jump in a full size dirt modified at the age of 14 yrs old, and that's where the magic began. He proved after just a couple of practices that he could handle the next task, racing a dirt modified . After 3 long seasons of commuting as much as possible, Cainen was burnt out from the long travel. So we decided as a Racing Family to start racing closer to home, on asphalt, in the Legend's and Sportsman divisions at Seekonk Speedway. While he enjoyed every lap, competing with many experienced drivers with full pit crews with an unlimited budget, he soon realized that his heart was with open wheel racing. The closest track with regular weekly open wheel racing was Waterford Speedbowl. So he bought an SK Light Modified, and after running only a couple of shows, he turned quite a few heads. The fastest season is always racing season. Even though next season's plan is not finalized yet, Cainen Schulz will be trying to qualify for the Haunted 100 at Seekonk Speedway, on Oct 25 2025. Stop by and introduce yourself, share a racing story, and if you or anyone you know are interested in sponsoring Cainen for the 2026 racing season please reach out. Any and all sponsorships are truly appreciated. We hope to see you there at the Haunted 100 at Seekonk Speedway. Thank you for taking the time to read this and God Bless ????.

Career Highlights

Cainen Won a lot of races in USAC with Quater midgets
Ran cage Kart for Jimmy PEPE Silvia and won last race ever at Woodstock fair for his class
One of Cainen's talents is his ability to keep RACECARS from being bent up. Has a good sense to stay out of trouble and knowing racing on small budget could end season. Cainen is going to compete in 2026 at Waterford full time in Sk light driving a Spafco with RAD 602 crate.
