Overton collects pair of Top-10 finishes in Spring Nationals at Lucas Oil Speedway
On Friday afternoon, Brandon Overton unloaded the No. 76 Longhorn Chassis at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) for the Spring Nationals doubleheader weekend.
With just over 40 Super Late Models on hand, Overton finished runner-up in his heat race and started on the third-row of the $7,000-to-win opener. Brandon made up a couple positions in the quick 40-lap feature and rounded out the podium in third.
Setting quicktime in his qualifying group on Saturday, Brandon picked up a heat race checkered flag and started on the front-row of the 60-lap main event. With a big payday of $20,000 up for grabs, Overton led the first 42 circuits before he was overtaken by Hudson O'Neal. The Wells Motorsports team settled for a runner-up finish while Mike Marlar completed the podium.
