TBJ finishes fourth in Clash at the Creek at 141 Speedway
Tom Berry Jr. climbed behind the wheel of the Mike Wedelstadt-owned No. 77 Lethal Chassis Modified this past week as 141 Speedway hosted the 17th annual Clash at the Creek.
Kicking off his week during Tuesday’s preliminary program, Berry charged from fourth to first in his B-Main to transfer into one of the two prelim features. Starting 11th, he advanced three positions to finish eighth.
Returning on Thursday, Berry lined up on the front row of his heat and drove to a convincing victory, locking into the $10,000-to-win Clash at the Creek XVII A-Main. Making moves in the 50-lap finale, Berry advanced seven spots to register a strong fourth-place finish. He followed Ethan Braaksma, Jordan Grabouski, and Cody Laney across the line, with Tripp Gaylord rounding out the top five.
Berry’s weekend continued on Saturday at Marshalltown Speedway, but his night ended early following a post-race disqualification.
