Daulton Wilson kicked off the five-day Illinois Speedweek on Tuesday afternoon at LaSalle (Ill.) Speedway among a huge field of 49 Super Late Models.
For the first FloRacing Night in America show on the week, Wilson grabbed the final A-Main transfer spot and finished 19th. Daulton raced his way into the show the following two evenings, finishing 15th at Spoon River Speedway (Canton, Ill.) on Wednesday and finishing 19th on Thursday at Lincoln (Ill.) Speedway.
With the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioning the weekend events, Wilson finished 15th in the 74-lap showdown at Farmer City (Ill.) Raceway on Friday night before wrapping up the weekend with a Top-10 outing at Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway in the $30,000-to-win Spring Shootout.
Meanwhile, his teammates Jason Jameson and Justin Ratliff took on the Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals doubleheader weekend through the Bluegrass State.
Finishing outside of the Top-10 in the Friday night show at Rockcastle Speedway (Mount Vernon, Ky.), both drivers had a much better showing at Lake Cumberland Speedway (Somerset, Ky.) in the $10,053-to-win Johnny Wheeler Memorial. Jameson recorded a Top-10 finish in eighth while Ratliff finished on the podium in third behind Jimmy Owens and Garrett Smith.
