Daulton Wilson fifth in Show-Me 100 with Lucas Dirt; Justin Rattliff runner-up at Mudlick Valley
Daulton Wilson unloaded his Grant Lee Farms No. 18D machine at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) on Thursday afternoon as the JRR Motorsports team kicked off the 33rd-annual Show-Me 100 weekend with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.
Finishing 13th and 16th in the $10,000 preliminaries on Thursday and Friday, Daulton earned an automatic spot in the $75,000-to-win finale on Saturday. Wilson started 15th in the 100-lap main event and methodically moved his way into the Top-5 and recorded a fifth-place outing.
Wilson now sits eighth in the LOLMDS point standings.
Fellow JRR Motorsports teammate Justin Rattliff competed in a single event over the Memorial Day weekend, joining the Ultimate Heart of America Series at Mudlick Valley Raceway (Tollesboro, Ky.) on Sunday afternoon.
Finishing third in his heat race, Rattliff started 10th in the 40-lap main event and charged forward to land on the podium in second. In the $5,000-to-win feature, he trailed Mike Marlar while Tristan Chamberlain completed the Top-5.
