Nick Hoffman notches Top-10 finish in Illini 100 preliminary
Nick Hoffman returned on the road with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series over the weekend as the tour rolled into familiar territory at Farmer City (IL) Raceway — a track where Hoffman has logged countless laps throughout his career.
With 42 World of Outlaws Late Model Series entries on the grounds, Hoffman followed up a third-place finish in his heat with an eighth-place finish in Friday’s 40-lap preliminary feature.
On Saturday, Nick was forced to use a provisional into the $20,000-to-win Illini 100 after missing a transfer spot by one car in his B-Main. Starting the main event in 23rd, Hoffman inched to an 18th-place outing.
Leaving Farmer City, Hoffman is currently tied for second with Ryan Gustin in the latest World of Outlaws point standings.
