Pierce McCarter joins World of Outlaws at Smoky Mountain Speedway

With the World of Outlaw Late Model Series in town, Pierce McCarter was one of 45 Late Models on site at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.) for the Tennessee Tipoff doubleheader.

After missing the setup in qualifying, Pierce was forced to play catch up all evening and did not make the $12,000-to-win main event.

Saturday's $15,000-to-win finale was called off due to potential severe weather.
