Gregg Satterlee Adds Appalachian Mountain Speedweek Victory at Bridgeport

2024 AMS Champ Carries 95-Point Lead into Rescheduled Finale

INDIANA, Pa. (06/17/25) – Gregg Satterlee extended his lead in the Selinsgrove Ford Appalachian Mountain Speedweek (AMS) standings on Sunday afternoon with a $6,000 victory at Bridgeport Motorsports Park. He wheeled his Satterlee Motorsports / Keyser Manufacturing No. 22 Rocket Chassis Late Model to the win in his first career start at the New Jersey oval.

The reigning 2024 AMS champion secured his 11th career series victory in what was originally slated as the tour’s finale. With last Thursday’s event at Selinsgrove Speedway rescheduled for July 11, that race will now officially serve as the points-paying finale.

“What an awesome racetrack,” Satterlee said. “That’s a lot of fun out there. The cushion’s definitely the preferred line, but you can peel away from it and definitely keep up. Trever was really good in open racetrack … on that single-file restart he kind of moved off the traction, and I had such a run I was able to slide him and hopefully clear him by enough, but I needed to get out front so I could keep as much air on my car as I could and be straight and not overwork my tires.”

The final stretch of the rain-plagued Selinsgrove Ford AMS resumed this past Monday at Path Valley Speedway, where Satterlee started 13th in the feature after finishing third in his heat. He advanced four positions in the 35-lap affair to register a ninth-place finish.

Following Thursday’s rainout at Selinsgrove, action continued Friday at Bedford Speedway. Satterlee finished second in his dash and backed it up with a fourth-to-second run in the feature.

After Saturday’s event at Lincoln Speedway was also lost to inclement weather, the tour wrapped its originally scheduled eight-race slate on Sunday at Bridgeport. Satterlee advanced from sixth to third in his dash, then powered ahead of early leader Trever Feathers following a lap-23 restart in the feature and led the remaining circuits to capture the $6,000 paycheck in the Joey Kay Memorial.

With only the rescheduled Selinsgrove Speedway event remaining, Satterlee holds a commanding 95-point lead in the AMS standings.

Satterlee now turns his attention to a Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series tripleheader in his home state of Pennsylvania. The 19th annual Firecracker 100 at Lernerville Speedway opens with twin preliminary features on Thursday and Friday, leading into Saturday’s $50,000-to-win finale.
