Gregg Satterlee Bags Three Wins and Appalachian Mountain Speedweek Title
Takes Home $25,591 Over Three-Day Stretch
INDIANA, Pa. (07/14/25) – Gregg Satterlee was nearly untouchable over the weekend, collecting three consecutive victories and successfully defending his Appalachian Mountain Speedweek (AMS) championship in Friday’s rain-delayed finale at Selinsgrove Speedway.
The reigning 2024 AMS champion sealed the title with a late-race pass in Friday’s main event, then carried that momentum into Saturday’s Frank Sagi Tribute at Hagerstown Speedway and Sunday’s Jimmy Spence Memorial at Winchester Speedway—bringing his season win total to seven and pocketing $25,591 over the three-day span.
“Congratulations to (Shaun Jones), he did a really good job,” Satterlee said in Selinsgrove Speedway’s victory lane. “His car was just really pinned on the bottom and I just couldn’t seem to really stay down there the whole first part of the race. Luckily as the race wore on, my tires got a little bit more underneath me and I was able to maneuver better. We had that restart, I was able to get the racetrack cleaned in front of me and I was able to move wide and kinda get a run on him, rolled the outside once I get a little better balance.”
The action kicked off Friday night at Selinsgrove Speedway, where Satterlee blistered the half-mile oval with a 19.450-second lap in time trials and backed it up with a heat race win. He then held off a challenging Shaun Jones in the feature to secure the $6,000 victory and clinch the AMS championship, which added another $6,000 to his weekend haul.
Leaving no doubt on Saturday, Satterlee dominated the Frank Sagi Tribute at Hagerstown Speedway, leading flag-to-flag and taking the checkers with more than a five-second advantage to claim the $5,000 payday.
He capped the weekend with another wire-to-wire victory in Sunday’s Jimmy Spence Memorial at Winchester Speedway, pacing all 40 laps of the finale. In addition to the $6,091 winner’s purse, Satterlee pocketed a $2,500 bonus courtesy of Larry Royston Septic Service and Martin’s Pumping Service for his back-to-back wins.

Satterlee now sets his sights on a Jay’s Automotive United Late Model Series (ULMS) doubleheader this weekend in his home state of Pennsylvania. The action begins Friday with the Night of Power at Path Valley Speedway, followed by the $7,500-to-win Jerky Night at Latrobe Speedway on Saturday.
